What's New For the 2020 Lexus IS?
Not much changes on the 2020 IS, the compact four-door sedan offering from Lexus. Nearing the end of its third production cycle, the Lexus IS now includes a Black Line Edition model, which stands out with features such as black-and-indigo interior trim.

Which Features are Available for 2020?
The 2020 Lexus IS is split into IS 300 and IS 350 trim levels, with a sports-style "F Sport" variant available for each one. Designed to accommodate up to five people, the IS has synthetic leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, sports-style front seats, driver-side 10-way power adjustability with lumbar support, front passenger 8-way power adjustability, and rear-seat 60/40 split-folding ability as standard. Going for an F-Sport adds the ability to heat up or cool down the front seats.
For comfort and convenience, the compact luxury vehicle comes with features such as proximity keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a center-console controller, Lexus Enform Remote connectivity, a garage-door opener, Bluetooth wireless connectivity for audio streaming and hands-free phone calling, Siri Eyes Free for virtual assistance, a subscription-free weather and traffic service system, a 10-speaker audio, an AM/FM radio tuner, HD Radio technology, voice command ability, a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio, two USB ports, the Scout GPS Link app for turn-by-turn directions, and a full-color 7-inch multimedia display. As a performance-oriented variant, the F-Sport has exclusive G-force and turbo-boost gauges.
Lexus provides several features to add on the IS; such features include steering-wheel heating, driver-side memory, the mouse-like Remote Touch controller, Lexus Enform Destination Assist for 24-hour access to a live response center agent, a 15-speaker 835-watt Mark Levinson surround-sound system, and 10.3-inch high-resolution touchscreen navigation.
Great Power and Fuel Economy
Installed on the IS 300 trim is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine, which produces 241 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The IS 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Linked to each engine is an electronically controlled 8-speed automatic transmission, which is accompanied by steering-wheel paddle shifters. Choices of drivetrain are between a rear-wheel-drive system and an all-wheel drivetrain.
2020 Lexus IS Safety Features
For restraint and cushioning in the event of a crash, the 2020 Lexus IS provides a pair of knee airbags, two frontal impact airbags, two side impact airbags, and two front and two rear side curtain airbags. Driver-assistance tech on the vehicle consists of smart stop technology, intuitive parking assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Other standard safety features include electronic vehicle stability control, traction control, an anti-lock braking system, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, a backup camera with dynamic guidelines, LED daytime running lights, Lexus Enform Safety Connect for functions such as automatic collision notification and roadside assistance, and the Lexus Safety System+ (for more driver-assistance technologies like adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and pedestrian detection).
