What's New For the 2021 Lexus RC?

There are several options available for the Lexus RC, which is produced in a special appearance package called the Black Line for the first time in 2021. There are some other changes for the RC to note this year, too, including some styling upgrades to the exterior and changes to the cabin. A new front end gives the RC an even more enticing appearance. It now has prominent LED headlights with triple beams. Some safety features that were only optional in the past, including rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring, are now standard. Along with the addition of more safety aids, the Lexus also has custom exterior touches and a unique luggage system made exclusively for Lexus called Zero Halliburton. The RC's changes culminate with the introduction of a new paint color that is titled Grecian Water. The RC F, a variant, does not get monumental changes in 2021, aside from a slightly lighter-weight frame and a sportier chassis.

2021 RC Trims & Features

The trims available through the RC line include the RC 300 and the 350. Both can be ordered with a Black Line appearance scheme that includes custom accents inside and out. To start, you will get triple-beam LED headlights. There are some new LED lights on the back this year as well. Custom 19-inch wheels are added to the 300 and the 350. the wheels are finished with a black chrome polish. The rear end has blackened exhaust tips. Leather seats with silver-accent stitching are standard, along with a wood-trimmed interior. The RC F has LED headlights. It also has simulated leather upholstery. A Lexus Display tech interface is standard, along with a 10-speaker sound system and navigation. The RC F Track Edition has lighter-weight components and stickier tires.

2021 Lexus RC Horsepower

There are three engines available for the 2021 Lexus RC. The first, which powers the rear-wheel drive RC 300, is a 2.0L turbo. This engine produces 241 HP and approximately 258 LB-FT of torque. With the all-wheel drive version, the V6 engine generates 260 HP. It comes with six speeds and produces 236 LB-FT of torque. The RC 350 delivers 311 HP and 280 LB-FT of torque with all-wheel drive and a gasoline engine. The RC F has a larger V8 engine in 2021 that has an increased power output of 472 HP.

More safety features are standard in the Lexus RC this year, including rear cross-traffic alert and blind-spot monitoring. Rear parking sensors are available, along with pre-collision mitigation and pedestrian detection.
