What's New for 2023 Lexus RZ?

This vehicle will still take some time to come out, so not everything is known about it yet. The one thing that is known for sure is that the 450e model will be the first dedicated electric vehicle that isn't based on a vehicle with gas. The car will be using the same platform as the Toyota BZ4x.

2023 RZ Trims and Features

This information is still being decided by Lexus, and information will likely trickle in overtime. Currently, the only trim level that appears solid is the RZ 450e. This is an electric vehicle that comes with an all-wheel drive. It has a seating capacity of 5 people.

The full specs for city and highway driving for MPG is still not announced. The vehicle will be an SUV. The range is estimated to be in the area of 225 miles on a single charge. The battery size is estimated to be 71.4 kWh.

Lexus is planning to transition the luxury brand into a BEV-focused company. This means that there will be plenty of other vehicles of this type on the way. In fact, Lexus has said they are trying to be electric-only before the decade closes out. Reportedly, the vehicle will be a bit like the Toyota Venza in terms of size. It will be a two-motor AWD all-electric SUV.

Early indications are also saying that the Lexus will be a lot quieter than the previous models, if only because there won't be any combustion engine in it. EV options are known for being quiet as it is. There's also a rumor that the vehicle will have a "yolk" style steering wheel eventually. This means that you'll have a right and left handle instead of a traditional steering wheel.

At the moment, the horsepower is reported to be 308. It comes with a single-speed automatic drive.

Lexus RZ Safety

Details aren't available yet for certain, but it's likely that the RZ will get the Lexus Safety Sense 3.0 option. This means you'll get emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and other options.
