NX 300 Intervals

What is the Lexus NX 300 Maintenance Schedule?

If you want your Lexus NX 300 to last a long time, it's important to ensure it stays up-to-date with all of its manufacturer-recommended services. Lexus has an NX 300 maintenance schedule with recommended service items and milestones designed specifically for the NX 300. While there are some differences among model years, Lexus NX service intervals usually begin at 15,000 miles. You will then periodically schedule service with our team until your car gets to 90,000 miles based on the automaker's recommendations. Service may be prescribed from that point on based on a mechanic's suggestions.

15,000-Mile Service

When your car gets to 15,000 miles, it will be due for mild service. The first service appointment will include an oil change to make sure the engine runs smoothly and efficiently. The oil change may also include a cleaning of the air filter on the engine for optimal performance. A Lexus technician will look at the car's safety features on the outside as well, including the lighting elements and the wipers. A factory-trained Lexus technician will perform a visual inspection of the body to look for rust or other problems.

30,000-Mile Service

The next NX 300 service milestone is 30,000 miles. When your car reaches this service point, it will have the battery inspected to make sure there are no fluid leaks and there is no corrosion or rust on the wires, cables, and other connections. A tire rotation is in store for the Lexus at 30,000 miles, and it will get another engine oil change. The transmission fluid is also checked for quality. The car's brakes are fully inspected for safety and performance. That includes checking the rotors, pads, and connections for abnormal and uneven wear.

60,000-Mile Service

Since the spark plugs on a car will last about 60,000 to 90,000 miles, a Lexus technician will check the condition of the spark plugs on your Lexus at this mileage point. The ball joints and dust covers get inspected as well. The tires will be rotated a third time if they show uneven wear patterns in the tread. The engine coolant is checked for quality, and it is topped off if needed. The hoses, belts, and brake lines are other parts checked on the car.

90,000-Mile Service

If they haven't yet been replaced, a mechanic will likely change the battery on your NX 300 and the spark plugs. The transmission, brake, and windshield washer fluids are all changed as well.
